The goal for you is to see which expense are necessary and which are not. Once you figure out how much a month you can afford to your creditors, it is time for you to begin you credit card debt negotiation. You need to call your credit card company and tell them that you are having credit card debt problems. You need to tell them why you are having trouble paying off your loan. The goal is to workout a new repayment plan with the credit card company that reduces your montly payments to a level that you can afford to pay.
It is important that you do this before your credit card bills get sent to collection. Once these debts get sent to collection, your credit card companies will have a much harder time negotiating a pay off with you. But remember that you need to keep making your payments under this new payment plan.
