Is Freedom Debt Relief a respectable debt settlement company?

When you are looking for a debt relief settlement company, you must pick a good one. Like any industry, the debt settlement industry is filled with both good companies and bad companies. When you are trying to choose a debt settlement company, you need to do your due diligence. While there are many good debt negotiation companies, there are many disreputable debt negotiation companies too. You would expect this to be the case with any $20 billion Dollar a year industry. Is Freedom Debt Relief a good or a bad creditor negotiation company?

To tell the truth, I can’t tell. Just like I can’t tell with any of the Christian debt relief companies out there.  According to the Better Business Bureau, Freedom Debt Relief has a satisfactory record. Freedom Debt Relief has been a member of the Better Business Bureau since 2005. Additionally, Freedom Debt Relief has been in business since December 2002. According to the Better Business Bureau, in the last 36 months there has only been 1 complaint filed against Freedom Debt Relief. That seems pretty good for a debt relief settlement company.

The complaint that was filed against Freedom Debt Relief was that it made misrepresentations about fees and services. The complaint also alleges that the debt settlement company used high pressured sales tactics and failed to disclose key terms of its offer. It is important to note, however, that the Better Business Bureau report states that this complaint has been resolved.

With only one filed complaint in 36 months, this seems to be a pretty good track record for Freedom Debt Relief. However, when choosing a debt relief settlement company, be sure you do your due diligence.
